1. BikeSauce T-Shirts are IN STOCK!
A group of our hard working volunteers just finished screening this season’s official BikeSauce T-Shirts! They are awesome, super soft 50/50 cotton/poly shirts from Me to We, which are ethically made in Canada. Me to We also supports Free the Children. Proceeds will help us purchase the necessary tools and supplies to help all of our customers this season! Feel good inside and out and show your support for BikeSauce everywhere you go! Have a cool photo of you in your BikeSauce swag? Please send it to we’d love to see it!

2. April Meeting
The monthly volunteer meeting is Wednesday April 11th, 7pm. Come share ideas for the shop and learn more about projects we currently have going on.

3. Call for Volunteers
With the lack of winter and early start to cycling season (yes, we know, some of you never stopped…) we’re amazed at how busy the shop has been already. This is both good and bad. Good = More people are cycling. Bad = We need more volunteers so that we can help everyone! We can use many different skill sets and work with many schedules. If you can commit to a few hours every week on a specific day, then it’s great to know that we can count on you and our shop will be staffed! If you can only drop in randomly we will always be here with a thankful smile! If you’re interested in learning more about how you can help us out please email or come to this month’s volunteer meeting on Wednesday April 11th at 7pm

4. BikeBuild Wednesdays
Not to sound like a broken reco-Not to sound like a broken reco-Not to sound like a broken reco- …yea…we just want to remind everyone that BikeBuild Wednesday’s continue! This is a time where we set aside our own bikes and help to build up the bikes people have donated to that we can sell them back to members of the community. It’s more important than ever because they have been FLYING out of the shop with all this nice weather and selling bikes is one of the main ways we financially support the shop! Please come out to the shop at 235 Broadview (SE Corner of Broadview & Dundas) and help support us this Wednesday and EVERY WEDNESDAY, 6-9pm. Hang out with nice people, learn about bikes, fix stuff!

5. The Otesha Project
Pedal past the highest tides in the world as you circle the breathtaking Bay of Fundy.  Roll through the picturesque agricultural landscapes of Ontario.  Push your limits as you brave the elements, camp under the stars, and tour the country for an important cause.  The Otesha Project is filling spots on its spring, summer and fall sustainability & social justice themed cycling tours.  Apply today at

6. 2012 Cupcake Ride/Sweet Ride Schedule has been posted!
Our friends over at have expanded their Cupcake Ride and Sweet Ride schedule for this year! Not that most of us need an excuse to ride from bakery to bakery and devour delicious baked goods, but this is a good excuse disguised as a social event! This season’s first event Saturday April 7th and you can RSVP through their Facebook page.

7. Volunteer for Toronto Heritage Rides
In cooperation with Heritage Toronto, the City of Toronto, the Toronto Cyclists Union and other partners, a new initiative is calling for volunteers interested in developing a series of themed bike rides in the city. Want to be part of this exciting new project? Visit for more information.
